The Top Senior Questions

1.
Don't I have to use the "school photographer?"

The last time I checked, this IS still America. That means that YOU get to CHOOSE. The "school photographer" has a contract to take pictures at various times throughout the year, but I don't remember you signing a contract saying that you had to BUY them... right?

If you're happy with 'em, buy 'em... if not, you know how to get in touch with us.

2. Aren't you guys EXPENSIVE?

Our sessions are $200 and our collections start at $595 Oh sure, you're not going to Costa Rica... that'll cost you upwards of $7,000 (and yes, we do offer that collection!)

We're confident that if you ask around, you're going to find that our prices are right in line.

It's not unusual for senior portraits to cost anywhere from $600 to $2,500.

It is unusual to find people as happy as the ones that have selected our studio to create them.

Also, be sure to check out our new senior express sessions... kinda like school pictures on steroids!

3. What if I don't have the body of a model?
Um... unless you're a model, we don't see where that's really going to create much of a problem.

The fact is, most people are totally unable to see themselves the way they truly are and we can probably agree that we are all our own worst critics.

There is nothing more satisfying than helping you to bring out who you are and then showing you (some times for the first time in your life)

"Do I really look like that?"

Unless I missed something, that was you in front of the camera...

4. Do GUYS actually do this?
Yep... we're talking about Senior Portraits, not a root canal! The guys just don't tend to bring as many clothes. If you've seen our work, you know that they're not the same old Senior Portraits.

Okay, so now maybe you're curious about what you should expect.

The process typically starts
with a quick trip around our web site (you're here now, so this would be where you start).

If you like what you see and decide that we’re the right studio for you, we’ll coordinate our calendars and schedule your session. Your session fee is due at that time.

The day of your session, you'll have a great time. Depending on your needs we will spend up to 2 hours in the studio, and outdoor. We suggest a couple of outfits (some have brought a trunkload... and Sean will even help carry it all in) and we'll prioritize from there. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. This is supposed to be about you, so be sure to bring anything that fits the description, from cool restored cars, four wheelers to guitars, video cameras, sports gear... you get the idea. Your job is to be you. Ours is to make you feel comfortable and capture those images.

A week or so later you'll return to the studio for your Portrait Premiere. Here, you'll see the select images from your session and will place your order. We ask that anyone involved in the decision making process be present (and anyone who's not, well, not be...) This usually takes about an hour.

Our normal production time for orders is 6 - 8 weeks (during the Fall, it may take a little longer) at which time, you will have some amazing images ready to be picked up.

This is just a quick overview to give you an idea of how we do things here. It's a little different, but we're okay with that. We're pretty sure you will be too.

A FEW ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS

Why Do Your Pictures Look So... Different?

We've hung out with and learned from
some of the most amazing photographers from all around the country. We're not the first ones to do this kind of work, just the first ones around here! From the feedback we're getting, you're as excited about it as we are.

When should I get my senior portraits taken?
That depends on a couple of things. If you want pretty flowers and green grass, Winter would not be a very good choice. If you would like to goof around and maybe even take a little road trip, Winter would be an excellent time. In our experience, the schedule for September thru November is INSANE! We will be offering some incentives for sessions from April thru June. It really just depends on what you're looking for.

I Hate My Yearbook Picture, Can You Re-take It?
YEP! We do have the "drape" for the girls pictures and we have supplied the yearbook images for a number of our clients. Anita's Petite Fleur has been great in supplying us with some tuxes for the guys. (need flowers or tux rental? I think you know where you need to go, right? Be sure to tell them we sent you.)

Do You Do Weddings?
Are you getting married somewhere with sandy beaches and palm trees? With the age of our children and the current focus of our business, we have decided not to "do weddings." We will, however, be accepting a limited number of destination weddings. We are also offering Bridal Portrait Sessions for those couples who are interested in something a bit more artistic than the "standing next to the in-laws" pose.
