Looking for DIY studio set ideas?

babymirrorThere are times when I have so many ideas floating in my head of things I want to do, that I just can’t pick one and do it. Like writing for my blog for instance. I could call it writers block, but it isn’t really. I just have to stop, pick something and start writing. It was kinda like that in my studio too. I had so many ideas for my walls and sets I wanted to build, but there was always a fear of committing to one thing. So I usually opted to keep my walls white and have lots of temporary things on the walls that I could switch out frequently. I would impose a weekly challenge on myself to create at least one new set, area or prop to shoot each week.  Are you looking for some space saving ideas for your in home or small studio? I would love to help you out.  Send me a quick snapshot of your space and tell me what kind of sessions you are booking and I will throw out some ideas to you. This is one area that I miss now that I live in a small apartment on an island and I don’t have backdrops, props and such. So I would love to revive some of the things I did in my Virginia studio  and see them have new life in your images. Send snapshots to wen@wenmcnally.com

Happy shooting!
